HOPE Scholarship Academic Eligibility Requirements as an entering freshman at an eligible college or university in Georgia (after high school graduation or home study completion)

Meet the following criteria:

1. Graduate with a minimum 3.0 Calculated HOPE GPA.
2. Earn a minimum of four full rigor credits from the Academic Rigor Course List. 

Check your preliminary HOPE Scholarship eligibility: Follow these steps:

1. Go to www.gafutures.org
2. Select “My GAfutures” which is on the far right of the main menu.
3. Log in to your GAfutures account (or create one if you don't have one) **double check that you enter your SSN in correctly or there will be an error in calculating your HOPE GPA.
4. Check your preliminary HOPE GPA!

Zell Miller Scholarship Academic Eligibility Requirements as an entering freshman at an eligible college or university in Georgia (after high school graduation or home study completion)

Meet the following criteria:

1. Graduate with a minimum 3.7 Calculated HOPE GPA.
2. Earn a minimum of four full rigor credits from the Academic Rigor Course List. 
3. Earn a qualifying test score on a single national or state/district administration of the ACT or single national administration of the SAT prior to high school graduation.

   A minimum composite score of 26 is required for the ACT.

   A minimum score of 1200 is required for the SAT.

4. Graduates named as the (Zell Miller Scholarship) Valedictorian or Salutatorian of his or her graduating class.

Program Eligibility

Full-time enrollment in a certificate or diploma program is not required and students are not required to graduate from high school with a specific GPA, however, they must have a postsecondary cumulative 2.0 GPA, at certain checkpoints, in order to maintain eligibility.

Academic Eligibility

Full-time enrollment is not required and students are not required to graduate from high school with a specific GPA, however, a minimum 3.5 cumulative postsecondary GPA, at the end of each term, is required in order to maintain eligibility. The first term of enrollment will be paid retroactively if the student has the required 3.5 cumulative postsecondary GPA at the end of the term.

Programs of Study

Students enrolled in an approved program of study who are eligible for, and receiving, HOPE or Zell Miller Grant funding, may also be eligible for funding from the HOPE Career Grant.
